Your First Visit

Coming to a new church can be an exciting adventure. What should I expect? How do I get there? Where do I take my children? What time should I arrive? These are just a few of the many questions that flood our minds as we think about our first visit. At Centennial Road we want to make your first visit as easy and as comfortable as possible, so we are providing the answers to these questions before you even leave home.

How do I get there?

FROM THE 401

Take EXIT 696 (Stewart Blvd), and then travel NORTHWEST on STEWART BLVD/PROVINCIAL ROUTE 29/CR for approximately 2.4 kms.

Turn left on CENTENNIAL RD/CR-26.

Travel for approximately 1.5 kms on Centennial Road. CENTENNIAL RD/CR-26 becomes CR-27. The church is located on the left hand side of the road. The sign at the road reads “Centennial Road Ministry Centre and Garden of Hope”. There is an east and west entrance to the facility and you can use either one.

What time should I arrive?

Well, that will depend on the service you wish to attend. We offer two identical Celebration Services, one at 9:00am and another at 11:00am. We suggest that you come a few minutes early so you’ll have a chance to look around.

What should I expect when I arrive?

You will be greeted at the door by one of our many friendly volunteers and they will welcome you into the church boulevard. Right away you will notice that there is something different - people are relaxed, chatting and milling about and there is a sense of anticipation and expectation about the upcoming service. As you walk through the doors to the Sanctuary an usher will help you find a comfortable chair. The Worship Team begins to play and an invitation is given for you to join in worshipping our God.

Where do I take my children?

Nursery aged children – 0 to 2 years

When you come in the front doors turn right and go down the boulevard until you reach the Registration Desk for KidStuf. Go past this desk, through the doors and down the hall. The nursery is located near the end of the hall on the left hand side. Our nursery is staffed with loving volunteers who are waiting to care for your baby during both Celebration services. You can drop off your baby prior to the beginning of the each service. A television with a live feed is mounted in the hallway if you need to be close by at any point during the celebration service.

Children ages 3 – 5 (Lil’K)

This age group has its own room and volunteers. It is also located in the east end of the building, through the doors and at the very end of the hallway. Stop by the room to register prior to the service. Children begin the service with their family in the Sanctuary and then are dismissed after a time of music and worship. Lil’K leaders meet the children just outside the sanctuary doors and lead them back to the Lil’K room. Parents are also welcome to take their children to the program with the group. Parents are given an identification tag to pick up their children at the end of the service.

Children Grade 1 to Grade 5 (KidStuf)

Stop by to register prior to the service. The registration desk is located in the east end of the boulevard. Children begin the service with their family in the Sanctuary and then are dismissed after a time of music and worship. KidStuf leaders meet the children just outside the sanctuary doors and lead the children upstairs to the fellowship hall. Parents are also welcome to take their children to the program with the group. Parents are given an identification tag to pick up their children at the end of the service in the fellowship hall.
